Peppermint Spritzer

Why I make this:

I have slow and weak digestion and often have a bloated, upset stomach. My favorite way to quickly ease this is to make a peppermint spritzer.  I simply put a drop or two of peppermint oil in a glass, add ice, and then pour in carbonated water or club soda. The bubbles seem to help with the bloating and the peppermint helps with the digestion.  Plus, it tastes very clean and refreshing that I enjoy it just as a pick-me-up.

Recipe:

1-2     Drops     Peppermint Essential Oil

Ice

Carbonated water or Club Soda

Drop the peppermint oil in the bottom of the glass. Fill with ice (if desired) and bubbly water.

Make sure to put the essential oil in first so that it will blend with the water nicely.  If you put it in last, it will pool on top of the water.

  1. This sounds delicious.

    • It is, Megan. I often add a drop to a plain glass of water this way just to enjoy a different flavor without adding calories. Mandarin, tangerine, and lemon essential oil are especially tasty.
